Neighborhood description: The Laurel Cove community is located off the Great Neck road area of Virginia Beach. The Laurel Cove community was developed in the late 1960's/early 1970's by the Lake Conrad Corporation (LCC), who purchased the land from the previous owner in 1965. Considered to be one of the more affordable options in the area, it is a popular choice for young families. The neighborhood is full of families and everyone that we know that lives there absolutely loves the community and its people. People in this neighborhood tend to treat everyone living here as part of the Laurel Cove family! The Conrad family created the 25-acre pond, now known as Lake Conrad. The land Laurel Cove now sits upon was a 209-acre dairy farm. Although Laurel Cove is 50 years old and growing, they take great PRIDE in their community because, for the most part, it is well-maintained and the homes have "curb appeal". This community also has a number of rental properties available.
